The Chief Minister Joseph Vijay has made this announcement that they are going to provide the bicycle for the student who have been facing the difficulty to commute for this school. The government has allocated around Rs 277 crore for the scheme under which they will provide bicycles with helmets and water bottles. There are so many other announcements made by the government to improve school infrastructure and facilities, and the laptop to the student. There is also the curriculum Reform program for students, and they have allocated around 25 crore for the Katralil Mudhalidam in Tamil Nadu. They want the student will learn about AI technology and other skills for their future. They will introduce many emerging technologies for students for their better education in the school.

Main Goal of the Scheme
The newly elected Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Joseph Vijay, has only one goal:l to introduce the scheme in the budget of 2026 and 27 to help students travel to their school easily and encourage them to continue their higher secondary education. The dropout rate of students after 10th class is higher in Tamil Nadu, so the government introduced the scheme for the 11th class students. This will definitely reduce the dropout rate of the students and encourage them to continue their education. The students will get the modern bicycle, and the government will soon start the distribution process.
All the students of class 11th will be selected by the government officials for the distribution of bicycles. Under the budget of 277 crore, the government will help more than 5 lakh students. All the student who are enrolled in class 11 and attend their school regularly will be eligible for the government. Distribution Process Of Bicycle in Tamil Nadu for Class 11th Students
Till now, the government has only mentioned that they will provide the bicycle to the 11th class students in future and they will start this scheme very soon. The distribution process of the bicycle has not started yet by the government. The education department of Tamil Nadu will first verify the eligible beneficiaries under the scheme; then, after the verification process, the government will start the distribution process.
The newly enrolled student in the 11th class for the academic session 2026-27 will be eligible under the TN Puthiya Payanam Puthiya Vegam Scheme, and after the full verification procedure,ure you will be provided with a bicycle. There is no application procedure under the scheme, heme and you have no need to apply online. Your school head principal will send the list of all the 11th-class students to the official department, which will verify the students’ names and full information.
