The Tamil Nadu government has announced that it will soon launch a Health Insurance Scheme for people above the age of 70 years. - The government is planning to implement a new infrastructure which will cost around 10 crore. They want to provide modern infrastructure in all the Government Medical Colleges and Hospitals.
- They will include the district headquarters hospitals under their planning.
- They will also provide a unique patient identification ID or a digital health ID card under the government health facilities.
- A neurosurgery care centre will be developed.
- They will also provide the facility of a heat stroke management unit in the 20 district headquarters hospitals
- Senior citizens will get the facility of a new geriatric medical unit in the fourth women’s hospitals and a palative Care Centres for the senior citizens in two government hospitals.
- The 31 government medical college hospitals will get the facility of reproductive centres, and 6 district headquarters hospitals will also get this facility. It will cost around 14 crore.
- They will also want to introduce an AI-generated WhatsApp chatbot for online appointments in the government hospitals,s and along with that, QR-based feedback will also be available for the patients.
