The Finance Minister, N Marie Wilo, has made this announcement for all the women in Tamil Nadu State that they are now eligible to get 100% subsidy on the purchase of 5 Goats. All economically weaker household women can generate a sustainable income source through goat rearing. The government provide five goats or sheep under the scheme free of cost to all women with disabilities and transpersons. Livestock business is a sustainable business for women where they can earn money. Government also working towards improving veterinary Health Care and providing quality health Care to the livestock.

They have also mentioned so many other benefits, like Kaalnadaigal Kaappon Livestock insurance Scheme for all the livestock owners for any loss. For the Insurance Scheme, the government allotted around 31 crore to support the scheme. They are also planning to improve the veterinary infrastructure and will build more veterinary hospitals and dispensaries in the rural areas. All the remote areas will now get better veterinary services in Tamil Nadu. Collectively, ly the government allotted rupees 4880 crores for animal husbandry, fisheries welfare and the dairy industry.
