Andhra Pradesh cabinet has finally approved the Handloom Weavers’ scheme in the state. This is the great news for all the Handloom artisans in the state of Andhra Pradesh. In the presence of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on 23rd july the government provided approval to this. All the families who are below the poverty line will get rupees 25000 per annum from the state government as financial assistance. All the Handloom Weavers in Andhra Pradesh have been waiting for this scheme for so long.

There are more than 50,000 handloom Weavers in Andhra Pradesh who will get the benefit of the scheme. By providing financial support to these articles in Andhra Pradesh, the government will spend around Rs 129.88 Crore per annum. After the announcement by the Andhra Pradesh cabinet, all the beneficiaries are very happy.  This scheme was previously known as the Nethanna Bhrosa scheme, but now the TDP Party has changed the name to the Nethanna Sevalo Scheme. On 23rd July, the cabinet has approved the handloom weavers Rs 25000 financial assistance. The government will launch this tune on 7th August on the occasion of National Handloom Day. The Handloom and Textile Minister made this announcement regarding the scheme that all the Handloom articles will get rupees 25000 annually under the scheme. The Handloom Weavers can also get a pension of Rs 48000 and free electricity of Rs 81640 annually. Nethanna Sevalo scheme will provide 200 units of electricity every month, and the Handloom Weavers also get a % GST refund for all the Handloom products. Eligibility Criteria

• The Andhra Pradesh Handloom Department provides the benefit of the scheme only to the eligible beneficiaries and has a few guidelines for the applicants.
• The government provides this financial support to the people who belong to the below poverty line and have a very low annual income
• All the Handloom Weavers who are registered under the AP State Handloom Weavers Cooperative Society (APCO) get this support.
